Stannous Octoate T 9

T-9 can be used as polyurethane catalyst, mainly used in the production of flexible slabstock polyether-based polyurethane foam, and also can be applied to catalyze polyurethane coating, elastomer, room temperature curing silicone rubber. Because it is a bivalent tin compound, itremains in foam after foaming and has no adverse effect on the foam properties.

Performance and characteristics:

* It is mainly used in the production of flexible slabstock polyether-based polyurethane foam.
* It can also be used as a catalyst for polyurethane coatings, elastomers and room temperature curing silicone rubber.

Storage

Store in a cold-dark place. Most desirable temperature is around 20ºC. Containers must be kept tightly sealed and protected from heat, moisture and foreign materials. After supply the product may be stored under appropriate conditions at least one year.

Toxicity and First Aid

Avoid skin or eye contact. Wash the contaminated skin and eyes with large amounts of flowing water. It is desirable to wear glasses and rubber gloves. T-9 has low oral toxicity but when T-9 is swallowed, consult a physician to empty the stomach. Because of the low volatility of T-9, inhalation is hardly dangerous. But in case of inhalation, breathe in the fresh air and obtain medical attention.

Fire and Explosion

Store and handle T-9 away from flame. In case of fire, fire can be extinguished with water and carbon dioxide.
